Emaar Participates in a Training Course Organized by Wissal Network

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation participated in the training course organized by the Wissal Network of Culture and Free Thought Association at its headquarters located in the west of Khan Yunis.

Regarding the details, Mr. Ibrahim Sheikh Ahmed, who represented “Emaar” in this training, said that the course targeted a number of institutions affiliated with the Wissal network, the training topic was about: (Mechanisms for the prevention of gender-based violence), which comes within the activities of the Culture and Free Thought Association and the Japanese campaign For the Children of Palestine, in partnership with UN Women with funding from the Japanese government.

Mr. Sheikh Ahmed added that the training lasted for two consecutive days and included many distinctive axes and skills, including the explanation of many concepts and terms according to the classification of the United Nations; The concept of international standards, and recommendations related to human rights and intervention mechanisms. The training also included studying 3 different cases in a practical way and simulating the process of information management, referral, and handling it properly.

Sheikh Ahmed expressed his thanks to the management of Wissal Network for their efforts and constant keenness to serve the local community. Expressing his happiness and pride in participating in this valuable and effective training.

ENABLE Center holds a training session entitled: “Preparing Administrative Reports Skills”

Enable Center for Training and Capacity Development which is affiliated with Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation held a training session at its headquarters in Khan Yunis Governorate entitled: (Preparing Administrative Reports Skills), where the training was supervised by Eng. Muhammad Hammad.

The beginning of the session was attended by the Secretary of the Board of Directors of “Emaar”, Eng. Issa Hamdan, the member of the Board of Directors, Eng. Muhammad Abu Yousef, and the Deputy General Director of “Emaar” Mr. Imad Esleem.

Eng. Hamdan welcomed the participants in the session; Stressing that Emaar believes in the importance of developing and building the capabilities of its team, by providing them with different skills through courses and training meetings targeting all administrative levels in the association.

About the details, Eng. Abdel Rahman Amer -The Coordinator of Training at Emaar-, said that the training targeted all colleagues who work in the administrative field in Emaar, with the aim of unifying the policy of preparing administrative reports, especially since Emaar witnessed a significant expansion during the previous period in its various facilities and programs.

Eng. Abdel Rahman added: that the course dealt with several topics related to the layout design and the production of administrative reports, in addition to the content and format of the model report, and it also touched on several tools that can be used in the process of data collection, analysis and coordination to produce a report worthy of Emaar.

At the end of the session; Eng. Abdel Rahman thanked the meeting coach / Eng. Mohamed Hammad for his appreciated cooperation and his great keenness to complete the session with this high level of efficiency; Wishing him continued success and giving.

Basma Special School holds a meeting with students’ parents

On Wednesday, Basma Special School held a meeting with the parents of the first, second and third grades; In the presence of the School Principal, Mrs. Doaa Abu Mutlaq, The Deputy Director Ms. Sanaa Breeka, and the stage teachers.

Mrs. Duaa Abu Mutlaq welcomed the attendees, pointing out that the participation of parents in these meetings shows how much they care about their children, and their keenness to enhance and develop their abilities and skills, this is in the context of activating the role of parents and achieving progress in their children’s academic level.

Also presented the progress mechanism in the various lessons and methods of explaining and clarifying the basic skills in mathematics and the Arabic language, in addition to the most important behavioral problems facing the teachers and the parents, and  proposed methods to overcome these problems

At the end of the meeting, parents’ comments were listened to and discussed in order to conduct the educational process properly.

The school administration clarified the necessity of parents’ commitment to attend such meetings and commended those who committed to attend.

“Emaar” signs a memorandum of understanding to perform cochlear implants.

Within the activities of the (Rehabilitation of Cochlear Implant and Hearing Impaired Children) project implemented by Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation with generous funding from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development – Kuwait; Emaar’s administration in its headquarters in Khan Yunis signed an agreement with “Astemed for Medical and Hearing Solutions”; agents of MED-EL in Palestine, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of cochlear electronic devices. The signing ceremony was attended from Emaar by Dr. Samir Musa. The Board Member, and Mr. Imad Eslam, “Deputy General Manager of Emaar”, and from “Astemed” company, Mr. Tariq Tarbak, The financial and Administrative Director.

About the details, Dr. Samir said that this agreement includes performing 12 cochlear implants for children with hearing disabilities; where these processes will ensure that children are transferred from a life of brutal silence because of disability; to the blessing of hearing, interacting with others, and being self-reliant. Dr. Samir added that the next step is to complete the coordination process with the gentlemen in the Ministry of Health, with whom Emaar is proud to partner and work under their umbrella to start performing surgeries.

For his part, Mr. Esleem said: “Emaar” follows international procedures and protocols in the field of cochlear implants, which begins with diagnosis and careful examination, and passes through the process of -aural/oral rehabilitation for the child after wearing the hearing aids, and ends with the necessary medical and audio examinations; leading at the end to the cochlear implant procedure, where all these steps pass under the supervision of a working team and committees specialized in this field.

Dr. Samir thanked and appreciated the State of Kuwait, the King, the Government, and the people for their unlimited support and their great keen interest in helping the people of the Gaza Strip; he especially thanked and appreciated the honorable gentlemen of the management of The Arab Bank for Economic and Social Development – Kuwait; for their keenness and their great and permanent interest in financing qualitative and pioneering projects to serve the local community in the Gaza Strip, especially those with disabilities.
