Basma Special School holds a meeting with students’ parents

On Wednesday, Basma Special School held a meeting with the parents of the first, second and third grades; In the presence of the School Principal, Mrs. Doaa Abu Mutlaq, The Deputy Director Ms. Sanaa Breeka, and the stage teachers.

Mrs. Duaa Abu Mutlaq welcomed the attendees, pointing out that the participation of parents in these meetings shows how much they care about their children, and their keenness to enhance and develop their abilities and skills, this is in the context of activating the role of parents and achieving progress in their children’s academic level.

Also presented the progress mechanism in the various lessons and methods of explaining and clarifying the basic skills in mathematics and the Arabic language, in addition to the most important behavioral problems facing the teachers and the parents, and  proposed methods to overcome these problems

At the end of the meeting, parents’ comments were listened to and discussed in order to conduct the educational process properly.

The school administration clarified the necessity of parents’ commitment to attend such meetings and commended those who committed to attend.

مدرسة بسمة الخاصة تعقد لِقاء مَع أولياء أمور الطلبة

عَقدت مدرسة بسمة الخاصة يوم الأربعاء لِقاء مَع أولياء أمور الصف الأول والثاني الثالث ؛ بحضور مديرة المدرسة أ. دعاء أبو مطلق ونائبة المديرة أ. سناء بريكة ومعلمات المرحلة.
ورحبت أ. دعاء أبو مطلق بالحضور، مشيدة إلى أن مُشاركة أولياء الأمور في هذه اللقاءات يوضح مدى اهتمامهم بأطفالهم، والحرص على تعزيز وتطوير قدراتهم ومَهاراتهم،
وذلك في إطار تفعيل دور أولياء الأمور وتحقيق تقدم في المستوى الأكاديمي.
وأيضا طرح آلية السير في الدروس المختلفة وطرق شرح وتوضيح المهارات الأساسية في مادتي الرياضيات واللغة العربية، إضافة لطرح أهم المشاكل السُلوكية التي تواجه المعلم وولي الأمر. وطرح طرق التغلب عليها
وفي نهاية اللقاء تم الاستماع لملاحظات لأولياء الأمور ومناقشتها بهدف سير العملية التعليمية بشكل صحيح.
وقد أوضحت إدارة المدرسة ضرورة التزام أولياء الأمور في حضور مثل هذه اللقاءات وأثنت على من التزم بالحضور .

Emaar participates in the study day held by Al-Aqsa University

At the kind invitation of the administration of Al-Aqsa University // Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation participated in the study day that was held by the Department of Educational Sciences and the Department of Occupational Therapy at the university in cooperation with the Nabd Al-Salam Association for Mental and Community Health, the study day tagged by: (Community Mental Health for People with Disabilities / Protection and Advocacy).

About the details, the Deputy Director General of Emaar, Mr. Imad Esleem, said that his association “Emaar” participated in a presentation entitled: (The Role of Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation in caring for people with disabilities), which was part of the third session of the study day; the session was moderated by the Director General of Guidance and Special Education in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Khaled Abu Fadda.

During the presentation, an introduction to Emaar and its most prominent services and facilities was presented. More emphasis was also placed on the programs and services that Emaar provided and its continuous care for people with disabilities through its various projects and centers; noting that Emaar is distinguished in the integration of services provided to people with disabilities of all age groups.

Mr. Esleem promised the audience that, in the next few days, “Emaar” will carry out electronic cochlear implants for a number of children with hearing disabilities, these operations will contribute significantly to restoring children’s hearing and promoting their inclusive integration with their peers in society.

In turn, Mr. Imad Esleem thanked the administration of Al-Aqsa University for their great interest in “people with disabilities” and the scientific and preparatory committees for their excellence in implementing this study day, and to the gentlemen of the Nabd Al-Salam Association for Mental Health for their great and appreciated role in making this day a success.

إعمار تُشارك في اليوم الدراسي الذي أقامته جامعة الاقصى

بدعوةٍ كريمة مِن إدارة جامعة الأقصى// شاركت جمعية إعمار للتنمية والتأهيل في اليوم الدراسي الذي أقامه قسم العلوم التربوية وقسم العلاج الوظيفي في الجامعة بالتعاون مَع جمعية نبض السلام للصحة النفسية والمُجتمعية والموسوم: (الصحّة النفسية المُجتمعية لِذوي الإعاقة/ حماية ومُناصرة).
وحولَ التفاصيل قالَ نائب مُدير عام “إعمار” الأستاذ عماد إسليم أنَّ جمعيته شاركت في عرضٍ بعنوان: (دَور جمعية إعمار للتنمية والتأهيل في رعاية ذوي الإعاقة)، والتي كانت ضِمنَ فقرات الجلسة الثالثة مِنَ اليوم الدراسي؛ والتي أدارها السيّد مُدير عام الإرشاد والتربية الخاصّة في وزارة التربية والتعليم الدكتور خالد أبو فضّة.
حيثُ تمَّ خلال العرض تقديم نبذة تعريفية عن “إعمار” وأبرز خدماتها ومَرافقها؛ كما تمّ التركيز أكثر على البرامج والخدمات التي قدمتها “إعمار” ومازالت في رعاية ذوي الإعاقة مِن خلال مَشاريعها ومَراكزها المُختلفة؛ مُعرجًا أنَّ “إعمار” تميّزت في تكامل الخدمات المُقدمة للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بمُختلف فئاتهم العمرية.
وبَشَّر إسليم الحضور: أنَّ “إعمار” سَتقوم في الأيام القليلة القادمة بتنفيذ عمليات زراعة قوقعة إلكترونية لعددٍ مِن الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة السمعية، هذه العمليات التي ستساهم بشكل كبير في إعادة نعمة السمع للأطفال وتعزيز دمجهم الشمولي مَع أقرانهم في المُجتمع.
بدوره قدّم إسليم شُكره إلى إدارة جامعة الأقصى على اهتمامهم الكبير في “ذوي الإعاقة” وإلى اللجنتين العلمية والتحضيرية لِتميزهم في تنفيذ هذا اليوم الدراسي وإلى السادة في جمعية نبض السلام للصحة النفسية على دورهم الكبير والمُقدّر لإنجاح هذا اليوم.

“Emaar” signs a memorandum of understanding to perform cochlear implants.

Within the activities of the (Rehabilitation of Cochlear Implant and Hearing Impaired Children) project implemented by Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation with generous funding from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development – Kuwait; Emaar’s administration in its headquarters in Khan Yunis signed an agreement with “Astemed for Medical and Hearing Solutions”; agents of MED-EL in Palestine, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of cochlear electronic devices. The signing ceremony was attended from Emaar by Dr. Samir Musa. The Board Member, and Mr. Imad Eslam, “Deputy General Manager of Emaar”, and from “Astemed” company, Mr. Tariq Tarbak, The financial and Administrative Director.

About the details, Dr. Samir said that this agreement includes performing 12 cochlear implants for children with hearing disabilities; where these processes will ensure that children are transferred from a life of brutal silence because of disability; to the blessing of hearing, interacting with others, and being self-reliant. Dr. Samir added that the next step is to complete the coordination process with the gentlemen in the Ministry of Health, with whom Emaar is proud to partner and work under their umbrella to start performing surgeries.

For his part, Mr. Esleem said: “Emaar” follows international procedures and protocols in the field of cochlear implants, which begins with diagnosis and careful examination, and passes through the process of -aural/oral rehabilitation for the child after wearing the hearing aids, and ends with the necessary medical and audio examinations; leading at the end to the cochlear implant procedure, where all these steps pass under the supervision of a working team and committees specialized in this field.

Dr. Samir thanked and appreciated the State of Kuwait, the King, the Government, and the people for their unlimited support and their great keen interest in helping the people of the Gaza Strip; he especially thanked and appreciated the honorable gentlemen of the management of The Arab Bank for Economic and Social Development – Kuwait; for their keenness and their great and permanent interest in financing qualitative and pioneering projects to serve the local community in the Gaza Strip, especially those with disabilities.

إعمار توقّع مُذكرة تفاهم لإجراء عمليات زراعة قوقعة إلكترونية

ضِمنَ أنشطة مَشروع (تأهيل الأطفال زارعي القوقعة وضِعاف السمع) الذي تنفذه جمعية إعمار للتنمية والتأهيل بتمويل كريم مِن الصندوق العربي للإنماء الاقتصادي والاجتماعي – الكويت؛ وقعت إدارة “إعمار” في مَقرها بمُحافظة خان يونس عقد اتفاق مَع شركة (آستيميد للحلول الطبية والسمعية) وكلاء شركة MED-EL في فلسطين وهيَ إحدى الشركات العالمية الرائدة في مَجال أجهزة القوقعة الإلكترونية، حيثُ حضرَ مَراسم التوقيع مِن “إعمار” الدكتور سمير موسى “عضو مجلس الإدارة”، والأستاذ عماد إسليم “نائب مُدير عام إعمار”، ومِن شركة “آستيميد” الأستاذ طارق طرباق المُدير المالي والإداري.
وحولَ التفاصيل قالَ الدكتور سمير أنّ هذه الاتفاقية تتضمن إجراء 12 عملية زراعة قوقعة إلكترونية لِصالح الأطفال مِن ذوي الإعاقة السمعية؛ حيثُ ستتكفل هذه العمليات بنقل الأطفال مِن حياة الصمت المُوحش بسبب الإعاقة؛ إلى نعمة السمع والتفاعل مَع الآخرين والاعتماد على الذات. وأضافَ الدكتور سمير أنَّ الخطوة القادمة تتمثل في إتمام عملية التنسيق مَع السادة في وزارة الصحة الذينَ تعتز “إعمار” بالشراكة معهم والعمل تحتَ مَظلتهم للبدء بعدها في إجراء العمليات الجراحية.
مِن جانبه قالَ إسليم: أنَّ “إعمار” تتبع الإجراءات والبروتوكولات العالمية في مجال زراعة القوقعة الإلكترونية، الذي يبدأ بالتشخيص والفحص الدقيق، ويمر بعملية التأهيل السمعي اللفظي للطفل وذلكَ بعدَ ارتداء المُعينات السمعية، وينتهي بإجراء الفحوصات الطبية والسمعية اللازمة؛ ومِن ثمّ إجراء عملية زراعة القوقعة الإلكترونية، حيثُ تمر جميع هذه الخطوات بإشراف فريق عمل ولجان مُتخصصة في هذا المجال.
هذا وقدّم الدكتور سمير شُكره وتقديره إلى دولة الكويت ملكًا وحكومًة وشعبًا على دعمهم اللامحدود وحرصهم الكبير على مُساعدة أهل قطاع غزة؛ وخصّ بالشكر والتقدير السادة الكِرام في إدارة الصندوق العربي للإنماء الاقتصادي والاجتماعي – الكويت؛ لحرصهم واهتمامهم الكبير والدائم في تمويل المشاريع النوعية والرائدة لخدمة المُجتمع المحلي في قطاع غزة لا سيما ذوي الإعاقة منهم.

Emaar receives a delegation of the parents of children with cochlear implants

At its headquarters in Khan Yunis Governorate, Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation received a delegation of the parents of children with cochlear implants in the Gaza Strip. They were received by the Deputy General Manager of Emaar Mr. Emad Isleem, and the Administrative Assistant, Ms. Halima Al-Salmi, who accompanied them on an introductory tour of Emaar’s centers and facilities before the meeting.

Mr. Esleem welcomed the visiting delegation, providing a brief introduction about Emaar Association, and its most prominent public services; the talk focused more on the Basma Center for Audiology and Speech Therapy, the projects and services the center provides, especially in the field of hearing impairment, and the latest project Emaar is implementing through Basma Center, which includes electronic cochlear implants for a group of children.

In turn, the visiting delegation, through Eng. Mohamed Skaik, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation, which he described as the pioneering and distinguished association in serving children with cochlear implants and their families as well, calling for the continuity of the qualitative and important services Emaar provides to this category, which is considered one of the marginalized groups and deserves attention at the highest levels.

Skaik indicated that the final touches are being put in place to launch an official gathering group called “The Gathering Group of the Families of Children With Cochlear Implants in the Gaza Strip”. Noting that the group’s primary role will be to serve children with cochlear implants and their valued parents.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Esleem confirmed that Emaar was, is, and will continue to be a strong supporter of children with disabilities in general, including hearing disabilities, in several fields such as education (through its affiliated Basma School), in addition to rehabilitation and care through its various centers.

إعمار تستقبل وفدًا مِن ذوي الأطفال زارعي القوقعة الإلكترونية

استقبلت جمعية إعمار للتنمية والتأهيل في مَقرها الكائن بمُحافظة خان يونس وفدًا مِن ذوي الأطفال زارعي القوقعة الإلكترونية في قطاع غزة، حيثُ كانَ في استقبالهم نائب مُدير عام “إعمار” الأستاذ عماد إسليم والمُساعد الإداري الأستاذة حليمة السالمي التي اصطحبتهم في جولة تعريفية في مَراكز ومَرافق “إعمار” قبل عقد اللقاء.
بدوره رحّب إسليم بالوفد الزائر مُقدمًا نبذة تعريفية عن “إعمار” وأبرز خدماتها العامّة؛ وركّز الحديث أكثر في مَركز بَسمة للسمعيات والتخاطب والمشاريع والخدمات التي تُقدّمها لا سيما في مَجال الإعاقة السمعية، والتي كانَ أحدثها المشروع التي تستعد “إعمار” لِتنفيذه والذي يتضمَّن إجراء عمليات زراعة قوقعة إلكترونية لِمجموعة مِن لأطفال.
بدوره عبرَ الوفد الزائر مِن خلال المُهندس محمد سكيك عن شُكره وتقديره لجمعية إعمار للتنمية والتأهيل؛ والتي وصفها بالجمعية الرائدة والمُميزة في خدمة الأطفال زارعي القوقعة وذويهم كذلك، طالبين الاستمرار في تقديم الخدمات النوعية والمُهمّة لِهذه الفئة التي تعتبر مِن الفئات المُهمَّشة والتي تستحق الاهتمام على أعلى المُستويات.
وأشارَ “سكيك” أنّه يَجري حاليًا وضع اللمسات الأخيرة لإطلاق تجمّع رسمي باسم (تجمع أهالي أطفال زارعي القوقعة في قطاع غزة)؛ مُشيرًا إلى أنّ دوره الأساسي سيكون خدمة الأطفال زارعي القوقعة وذويهم الكِرام.
وفي ختام اللقاء: أكّد “إسليم” أنّ “إعمار” كانت ومازالت وستظل داعمة وبكل قوة للأطفال ذوي الإعاقة بالعموم ومِن ضمنهم الإعاقة السمعية، وذلكَ في عدّة مجالات مِن بينها التعليم (وذلكَ مِن خلال مدرسة بسمة الخاصّة التابعة لها)، بالإضافة للتأهيل والرعاية مِن خلال مراكزها المُختلفة.

“Emaar” receives a Delegation from the administration of Tamer Institute for Community Education

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation received a high-level delegation from the administration of Tamer Institute for Community Education, the delegation was led by the director of their office in Gaza Strip, Mr. Ahmed Ashour. They were received by the Director General of Emaar, Mr. Anwar Abu Musa, and his deputy, Mr. Imad Esleem.

This visit came to inaugurate the (multi-purpose hall) on the fifth floor of the “Emaar” building, which was equipped in cooperation between “Emaar and Tamer” to be used in many upcoming activities and events, including a “cinema hall” for children in order to the psychological releases for them, Organizing awareness sessions, educational and training meetings for the various target groups.

In turn, Mr. Abu Musa welcomed the delegation of the Tamer Institution, pointing to the depth of the relationship between n the two institutions, considering “Tamer Institute” is one of the partner institutions that “Emmar” is proud to work and cooperate with in many activities and events that serve different segments of society, including children and youth.

For his part, Mr. Ashour said: The relationship with “Emaar”, which began several years ago is still one of the relationships “Tamer” is still very proud of, pointing out that Emaar is one of the distinguished associations which possesses administrative and technical expertise qualifies it to be one of the leading institutions in the Gaza Strip.

At the end of the visit, the hall’s opening ceremony was held in an atmosphere full of joy and happiness. The management of the two institutions also participated in watching a group of short films produced by a group of promising young people at the Tamer Institute. The film’s content was discussed in the midst of positive interaction and participation by all attendees.
